Petri Räisänen is an internationally renowned and respected yoga teacher. A devoted student of K. Pattabhi Jois (1915– 2009) and R. Sharath Jois, who both authorized Petri to teach in 2001. Petri carefully passes on teachings of Ashtanga tradition.

This Astanga yoga workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced students.

13: 30-16: 00 Kindness and compassion in adjustments and asana practices - on how to practice and teach Ashtanga Yoga in a safe way.
Astanga Yoga is a safe, effective and beneficial method ... which too often can become a painful, stressful and stressful physical exercise. In this workshop, we will focus on the therapeutic aspects of practice for the body / mind; namely, how to release tension, stretch the body without pain, and keep the mind in a calm but awake state.

Feeling comfortable and meditative during practice will influence the level of calm and health for life outside of practice and will keep Yoga in your life until the end of the days.

13: 00-15: 00 Body lengthening: how to create a maximum length of the limbs in asanas. How to stretch is to strengthen and balance our mind. Theory and practice.
Originally, a bone fixation technique (a method of healing) called “limb lengthening,” which Petri modified to make asana adjustments to create maximum length for the limbs. This will not only take you to the next level in asana, but will also release tensions and aches and pains from the body. In this workshop we are practicing how to find space in a smooth and safe but effective way.
